Can I use the LCH hi-limit (00-414146-00002) instead of the LC117 (00-419670-00001)?

This page answers one question for buyers, maintenance technicians and parts distributors: can 00-419670-00001 be used in place of 00-414146-00002 in a commercial fryer? It is a part-number comparison, not a sales page — nothing here is offered for sale and no price is quoted.

Source basis: Catalog strings from distributor listings for both part numbers, plus ITW/Vulcan parts manuals.. See Sources, method and reliability for what is verified and what is not.

Short answer: No. They are both 450F-class fryer hi-limits, but one is auto-reset and the other is manual-reset, and the set points differ (450 F vs 435 F). Substituting one for the other changes the safety behaviour of the fryer.

These are the lines that decide the answer above, quoted as published. A paraphrase would hide the unit labels and the quantity column, which is where most of the confusion comes from.
