Can I use an 8500 W element in place of a 5500 W element?

This page answers one question for buyers, maintenance technicians and parts distributors: can 00-340307-00003 be used in place of 00-416741-000G9 in a commercial fryer? It is a part-number comparison, not a sales page — nothing here is offered for sale and no price is quoted.

Short answer: No. Element wattage, voltage and physical length must all match the original. Fitting a higher-wattage element increases current draw beyond the contactor and wiring rating; fitting the wrong voltage delivers the wrong wattage even at the same nominal size.
